Hunter leads US team to huge upset victory at the Ryder Cup

The US team pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Ryder Cup history with a 5 point victory over the European team, winning 16.5 to 11.5. It was the largest margin of victory for the Americans since 1981. Hunter played incredible golf all weekend long. He finished with a record of 2-0-3, scoring 3.5 points, which lead the US team. He tied a US record for the most points as a captain’s pick. Hunter led the team in scoring and, along with Phil Mickelson, was the only player to play in all five possible matches. On Sunday, Hunter had an incredible 50-foot birdie putt on 17th hole to give the US team a least a half of a point in his single’s match. He finished tied with Paul Casey and halved the match. After his final match Hunter said, “It’s an incredible, incredible experience. I wish every golfer could experience this, because it’s amazing.”

Hunter, In watching the Ryder Cup what would you say was the most interesting part of it? Secondly, I am a college player and watching you and the U.S. win the Ryder Cup was truly awesome. Watching you guys play with that passion is truly awesome and it gives even more motivation to make it there one day.
